VBS 2016: Volunteers Welcome!

PFBC is actively preparing for a God-filled week of Vacation Bible School this July 11-15! We would love to have church members volunteer to serve is various ways. From helping to count the daily offering, organizing t-shirt sales, donating goods for snack, or helping pass out promotional flyers to boost attendance, please pray about serving in some way! Sign up sheets are located in the side foyer on the bulletin board, and a VBS Volunteers Meeting will be held March 20.

FBCC to use PFBC as their own as long as needed … One Body, One Community, One True Risen Savior!

First Baptist Church, Collinsville will be using our facility as their own as long as needed following the devastating destruction to their church facilities in the EF2 tornado on 2/2/16.

The preliminary plans are for PFBC to conduct services as normal with First Baptist’s service at 2pm. We will have joint services on Sunday and Wednesday nights. PFBC members who are able are requested to park behind the cemetery especially during the evening worship times.

Let’s unite as One Body and One Community to go out and Serve the One True Risen Savior!

Easter Choirs Forming Now!

Join in the upcoming Easter celebration by being a part of our PFBC adult or children’s Easter choirs! The adult choir will practice on Sunday evenings after church, while the children’s choir will practice on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Interested? Please see music minister Carey Luke for more details on the adult choir, or Jessica Gressett, Kaye Mayatt, or Melanie Luke for the children’s choir.

Bro. TJ called to serve

1912279_10201227693885265_291927725_n (1)On December 27, 2015, the church, after a motion by the pastor search committee, voted to call Bro. T.J. Jennings back as our pastor, after his constantly improving health and desire to serve God through PFBC led the pastor search committee to prayerfully consider his request to return.

Bro. T.J. will be preaching his first sermon back as pastor at PFBC on Sunday, January 10, 2016.

To God be the glory!
